Neena and Venit decided to tie the knot in Italy. They were looking for a special and romantic venue where they could live their dream of an exclusive Italian destination wedding without forgetting their traditions: the Odescalchi Castle near Rome was a perfect set for their Hindu destination wedding.
The Indian wedding brings along rich colors, festivities and customs that have existed for hundreds of years. The Indian wedding is not only a day celebration, but a series of traditions that are celebrated together with the whole family.
Neena wore a beautiful red wedding Saree, enriched with golden embroidery as “something red” on the wedding day in Hindu weddings tradition symbolizes commitment, spirituality and fertility. The bride decorated her hands with henna, also known as Mehndi, the beautiful drawings symbolizing paisley and floral patterns. Venit wore a stunning brown Sherwani traditional dress.
Sanda Pandza Events designed a wedding project with bright colors, full of red roses and gold details: the ceremony took place in the Secret Garden of the Odescalchi Castle where the gold and red Mandap was decorated. It’s a secret structure and symbolizes growth and well-being as based on 4 pillars that are believed to represent the couple’s parents who will support the marriage with their love and blessing. The secret fire witnesses the ceremony and is called Agni: the couple will take seven steps around it, reciting a sacred Hindu pledge dedicated to marriage.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktails and finger foods and after they moved to the Court of Honor for a buffet style dinner with Indian food and drinks, under the twinkling lights of the teardrop chandeliers.
The evening ended with 3 layers wedding cake cut and after the bride and groom’s first dance, all guests enjoyed the party that lasted until the early morning.
Sanda Pandza Events was honored to organize the Indian destination wedding in Italy for this lovely couple.
