Giacomo Gianniotti, aka dreamy Dr. Deluca on Grey’s Anatomy, tied the knot to the beautiful Nichole Gustafson in an intimate ceremony at Villa Pocci in Castel Gandolfo, Italy.
Nichole and Giacomo met on a photoshoot in Beverly Hills. Nichole is a makeup artist and she was hired to do Giacomo’s hair and makeup for an Italian magazine that was featuring him. She was the only American on that shoot, she didn’t know anything about Giacomo, just that he was on some TV show called Greys Anatomy but she had never even seen that show. They looked at each other and there was that instant chemistry on set, they fell in love and the rest is the history!
Nichole and Giacomo wanted an intimate destination wedding with close family members and friends. They choose Italy because of Giacomo’s origins and because they both love so much the Italian Romance. The project for their destination wedding has started with the rehearsal dinner venue: we selected a breathtaking and exclusive Borromini terrace in Piazza Navona where they have enjoyed the excellent cocktails and finger food. For the wedding day, we chose a romantic and intimate Villa Pocci, located on the beautiful Castel Gandolfo’s lake, near Rome.
The key of their destination wedding was elegance, a bit of rustic mixed with modern touches, sophisticated and classy details enriched with amazing floral arrangements designed by Andrea Patrizi. The ceremony took place under the triumphal arch of white, green and dusty pink flowers and with side bushy arrangements long the aisle.
Nichole chose to wear an amazing Netta Benshabu dress that hugged her curves and with and detailed and long lace. Her loved bridesmaids were amazing too in their pale pink dresses. Giacomo chose a super stylish Armani’s tuxedo.
After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed the Italian style aperitivo followed by a 3 courses dinner. The table set up was very elegant with many candles and roses, a handmaid escort cards for each guest and fresh rosemary detail on the menu card.
The wedding cake cut on the terrace of the villa with the fireworks on behind were so spectacular and the guests were impressed by the beauty of the newly wed. The after party was absolutely incredible: Nichole and Giacomo’s first dance ended with a red petals rain that fell from the sky. A talented DJ Leo Alessandrelli played the music all night long and everyone had such a great time with a super cocktail bar provided by Offside Events.
Sanda Pandza Events was truly honored for have being chosen as Nichole and Giacomo Gianniotti’s destination wedding planner. It was such a pleasure to organize and plan all details of their luxury italian wedding.
